My Client is one of the world’s leading providers of distribution and supply chain management services for the aerospace & defence sector.

They enable customers to reduce cost, increase reliability and add value in the supply chain across the widest range of B and C class products.

They currently have a requirement for a Customer Account Manager.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Ensure an extant and legally effective contract is in place between Company and the customer at all times.
Ensure accounts are profitable by closely monitoring sales, margin, costs and stock-turn levels in order to meet or exceed budget.
Be an example to others for exemplary standards of Customer Service. Own and direct the required action within internal departments to ensure effective and efficient customer issues resolution.

Ensure effective 2- way communication between customers and internal departments to give feedback on performance, improvements or customer service issues.
Carry out regular meetings (at least monthly) with customers to review the accounts and ensure efficient resolution of any customer service issues.
Monitor and ensure that all key performance indicators, action plans to resolve under performance, and any other required data is updated and fully distributed on time.
Report weekly on the status of the output and margin for each account.

Agree targets and set PDP objectives annually for each team member and carry out quarterly reviews to monitor performance. Monitor individual and team performance and take corrective actions where necessary.
Develop and maintain a sales revenue and margin budget plan that ensures existing and potential opportunities are captured.

Attend management and departmental meetings, cross-departmental meetings and external visits as required; this may require foreign travel.
Develop organic business growth from existing accounts by building firm customer relationships and closely monitoring new opportunities within the customer arena.
Work closely with the customer to develop robust and accurate materiel usage forecasts.
Accountable for effective and efficient stock-room management to ensure stock-turn meets or exceeds target.

Ensure the effective and timely management of SLOB, including regular reviews with the customer to reduce to a minimum Company SLOB liability.
For Kits and Direct Line Feed (DLF) accounts, carry out regular reviews with the customer to ensure correct bin location, bag sizes and kits are in place.
Perform any other duties and responsibilities as reasonably required.

Skills & Experience required:

You must have an account management background within the Aerospace or Defence sector.
